The Jukola leading team has selected the organzers of the Jukola relay for the years 2018-2021.

Originally there were seven clubs interested in organizing the relay but in the end only four of them sent in an application. The applicants had to work hard to sort out all the different permits and decisions. Therefore it was decided that all the four applicants were selected. The application procedure with all those forms and documents gives a good ground when they start to plan the relay, says the chair of the Jukola leading team, Juhani Sihvonen. The municipalities and cities have also been very active when clubs have applied for the relay, which clearly shows how important the competition is.

The Jukola leading team consists of Sihvonen, representing the association Kaukametsäläiset, Petteri Salmi from the Finnish Orienteering Federation and Timo Pöysti from the main sponsor Finnish Defence Forces.

These are the selected organizers: 2018: Hollolan Urheilijat -46 and Lahden Suunnistajat -37, 2019: Kangasala SK, 2020: Ounasvaaran Hiihtoseura (Rovaniemi), and 2021: Liedon Parma and Mynämäen Suunnistajat -52.

The next Jukola relays will be held in Paimio 2015, Lappeenranta 2016, Joensuu 2017.
