The so called long night leg will be the second leg in Kuopio-Jukola next summer. The sun sets at 11.14 pm on Saturday June 14th 2014 and rises as early as at 3.05 am the following morning. Juhani Jetsonen, the chief course planner, presumes that succeeding in the night legs is even more impoprtant than earlier, also for the top teams.
– I’m sure the best team will win in Kuopio-Jukola, Jetsonen says.
The destruction caused by the autumn storms have been checked in the area now. There is no need to make any course changes.
