The test start getting ready.
Kuopio-Jukola had a “dress rehearsal” in the competition centre on Wednesday evening and almost everything is ready for the Jukola weekend.
Volunteers got familiar with the competition centre to be able to answer as many questions as possible in the event itself. The teams got ready for the challenges of the weekend and developed the details of their work. The tents got their furniture and equipment, the restaurant workers catered for the needs of the volunteers and even the ice cream stall opened its doors in the sunny afternoon.
The highlight of the evening was testing the start, changeover and the finish of the relay. In the rehearsal it was possible to test these functions. The test runners were people who had taken part in an orienteering school during the spring and plenty of conscript soldiers.
Kuopio-Jukola is ready for the big weekend and welcomes all orienteerers and Jukola guests to Vehmersalmi.
