The 25 best teams of Jukola relay were awarded on the Festival Stage. In addition to the Jukola-medals, the best teams got headlamps, sets of sport underwear and video cameras.
The winner of Louna-Jukola 2015 was Norvegian team Kristiansand OK. The challenge cup of Jukola relay, ”Lukkarin oppi”, was handed over by the chairman of Kaukametsäläiset ry, Juhani Sihvonen. Other prizes were tiepins, designed by Ireene Koski, and gift cards to Kisakallio Sport Academy. The Association of Orienteering Coaches of Finland awarded the coach Antti Harju from Kalevan Rasti, which took the third place and was the best finnish team in Jukola relay this year.
The ceremony ended with the transfer of the Jukola flag. In the symbolic ritual, the responsibility of the relay was transferred from Louna-Jukola to Lappeen Riento, which will organize Jukola relay next year in Lappeenranta. The representatives of Lappeen Riento, Juha Heimala, Harri Kauranen and Irmeli Lallo welcomed the audience to the cheerful South Karelia in the year 2016.
Before and after the ceremony the local band Antti Paranko Group entertained the audience.
