On Saturday at 10 a.m. 40 volunteers started putting up the Jukola relay maps on the map stands. The maps were brought to the competition area on Friday night.
– After putting up the bags we will secure them with a line to protect the bags from the wind. After that we will take out the maps for the second leg of the Venla relay, explains Markus Lindeqvist, who is in charge of the maps.
– The maps have been bagged and ready since mid-May, says Ilkka Aakula, a member of the course setter team.
