The mayor of Paimio Jari Jussimäki is grinning with satisfaction in the middle of the growing mass of people. The first truly warm day happened at the right moment, at the opening ceremony of Louna-Jukola.
– The atmosphere could not be any better! Years of waiting and immense amount of work is now behind us. This weekend we will enjoy the outcome of our work, says Jussinmäki.
Jussinmäki thinks that Jukola is extremely interesting as an event.
– Even with this record number of people it maintains a purely positive image. I have never heard anything bad about Jukola.
Jussinmäki is excited about the unique atmosphere of this major international event that still maintains a homely feel.
– A huge amount of people in a small area, the whopping details of this great event, the start of Venla and Jukola relays. It’s difficult to name one single interesting thing, because something is happening here all the time.
The mayor encourages everyone in the area to have a relaxing weekend and to keep an open mind.
– I hope that everyone will make the most out of this day and enjoy a sunny summer’s day here amidst the nature of Paimio. This will be the best possible entertainment on offer this weekend, says Jussinmäki.
