Windbreak shelters<\/strong><\/p>\nThe pre-reserved team\u2019s windbreak shelters are erected in places designated by the organizers. Pathways must be left free. Other accommodation sources (tents) and the use of open fire (including smoking), gas grills, camp and gas cookers etc. is strictly forbidden in the windbreak shelter areas.<\/p>\n

Battery Charging<\/strong><\/p>\nThe Jukola store is equipped with a mobile phone charging point (50 charging points) provided by DNA. There is also a charging point provided by Lahti Energy company (20 charging points).<\/p>\n
Area Guides<\/strong><\/p>\nArea guides are circulating during the busiest times. They can be recognized by the orange balloons.<\/p>\n
Storage of valuables<\/strong><\/p>\nThere is no organized locked storage for valuables. Please take care of your valuables.<\/p>\n
Automotive Roadside Service<\/strong><\/p>\nIf you have a problem with your car, Autoliiton Tiepalvelu help desk number is +358 40 350 5374. An Emergency service desk is available between the hours of 08:00 Saturday and 14:00 Sunday, at the competition centers southern car park, near church road (Kirkkotie).<\/p>\n
Usage of the Internet and mobile phones<\/strong><\/p>\nThere is free Wi-Fi in the competition center. It is meant for everyday Internet usage, but please note the following: as in all bigger events, the mobile networks\u2019 capacity is limited. The goal is to use mobile devices without consuming too much of this limited capacity, so that for example the GPS-tracking of the competition works properly. Usage of normal websites, such as the online result service is no problem.<\/p>\n
Due to high loads It is recommended that you do not watch videos or television broadcasts or download video streams (YouTube, Facebook, Periscope, etc.) in the competition center so as not to jeopardize the functionality of GPS tracking.<\/p>\n
Jukola Shop<\/strong><\/p>\nJukola shop offers official Jukola products from shirts to traditional fabric brands. There can also be found novelties and special limited items. Payment can be made with most common bank or credit cards or cash. In the Jukola store, the largest banknote that is accepted is 50\u20ac.<\/p>\n
Competition maps<\/strong><\/p>\nCompetition maps containing all controls are sold at the Info from Sunday June 17th 9:20 a.m. onwards (10\u20ac \/ each).<\/p>\n
Heating of children\u2019s meals<\/strong><\/p>\nHeating of children\u2019s meals is possible around the clock in the Children\u2019s World and in the competition restaurant.<\/p>\n
Lost and Found<\/strong><\/p>\nItems found during the event weekend can be handed in to the competition information center.<\/p>\n
Missing Items can be looked for in the competition information center until Sunday at 16:00 after which the lost items will be delivered to the Jukola office where they will be stored for a week. After this time the more valuable items will be delivered to the Southern Finland Lost and Found Offices (eslt.fi). For enquiries about lost goods please call 0600 55 00 93 (charge 1,83\u20ac \/ min + the normal call charge). Southern Finland Lost and Found Offices is open Mon 10:00 \u2013 18:00, Tue-Fri 10:00 – 16:00.<\/p>\n
Signpost<\/strong><\/p>\nThe signpost is located between the exchange area and the main Jukola gate.<\/strong><\/p>\n\u00a0<\/strong>Bank and Postal Services<\/strong><\/p>\nRestaurant, Jukola shop and Info accept cash and major bank and credit cards (e.g. Visa, MasterCard and Eurocard). Contactless payment option is also available. The largest accepted bank note is 20\u20ac. 50\u20ac notes are only accepted at the competition information center or the Jukola shop. Individual private companies may accept different payment options at their discretion.<\/p>\n
There is no foreign currency exchange or possibility to withdraw cash in the competition centre. The closest ATMs from the competition centre are located at the Prisma Supermarket in Hollola town center. The address is Kansankatu 8, Hollola.<\/p>\n
Postal Services in provided in at the R-Kiosk shop in Hollola between 9:00 – 20:00 (Keskuskatu 11, Hollola).<\/p>\n
Showers<\/strong><\/p>\nThe washing area is located east of Church Road (Kirkkotie) at the western end of Kastar lake (Kastarlammi). In addition to showers, there are tent saunas in the washing area. Separate bathing facilities are reserved for men during the Venla relay and for women during Jukola relay.<\/p>\n
One sauna is heated on Friday and is reserved for women from 16.00 to 18.30 and for men from 18.30 to 21.00. Separate showers are available from 16:00 to 21:00.<\/p>\n
On Saturday the showers will open at 09:00. All the saunas will be warmed from Saturday at 14.00 until Sunday at 16.00. During the Jukola relay women have their own smaller sauna available from Saturday evening at 23:00. Also on Saturday, between 14:00 to 22:00, a smaller sauna is available for men only. Instructions for sauna use and showering facilities are located on the door at the entrance to the washing area. The sauna fee is 4\u20ac, payable in cash (flat rate) on site. You can also buy a sauna ticket from the competition information center. The sauna fee includes a seat cover to be used in the sauna.<\/p>\n
In addition, in the vicinity of the main shower area, there are two bath tubs (mounted on top of a lorry bed) for competitors at a price of 2\u20ac for about 15 minutes.<\/p>\n
Sort empty shampoo bottles, seat covers and energy gel wrappers for energy waste. Returnable bottles and cans have their own recycling bins in the washing area.<\/p>\n
Taxis<\/strong><\/p>\nThere is a taxi stand located in the competition center next to the Jukola bus terminal. It is marked on the competition centre map. Taxis are usually hailed from the taxi stand. Taxis can drop-off customers at the Inva car park or at the Riimu yard if needed.<\/p>\n

Campfires<\/strong><\/p>\nThe use of open fire and the use of outdoor and gas cookers, barbecues and tent stoves is strictly forbidden in the entire competition center and in all accommodation areas, inside and outside the tents, in parking lots and at non-designated campfire sites. The fire ban is controlled.<\/p>\n
Photography<\/strong><\/p>\nPhotography in the general area is permitted. The competition organizers will also take pictures of competitors during the event. By participating in this event, you agree that the organizer of the event may use the pictures taken at the event for their own purposes.<\/p>\n
Cleaning of equipment<\/strong><\/p>\nThere is a separate equipment washing point close to the showers and sauna.\u00a0Washing sports gear elsewhere is forbidden.<\/p>\n
Toilets<\/strong><\/p>\nThe toilets in the competition center are marked on the competition center map with a red balloon symbol. All the toilets include hand disinfection liquid. Waste items such as diapers or plastic wrappings should be put into the correct rubbish bins not into the toilet.<\/p>\n
Environment<\/h3>\n
Jukola is an eco-friendly event. Lahti-Hollola Jukola’s environmental arrangements will be implemented in accordance with the Ekokompassi certificate issued in Joensuu-Jukola 2017. Eco-compass is an environmental management system for events and small and medium-sized enterprises. There will be no littering in the environment and everybody is responsible for disposing of their own waste. We ask everyone to pay special attention to ensure the successful sorting of waste. The waste from Lahti-Hollola Jukola is sorted and delivered after the competition for reuse according to local sorting instructions. Paper, cardboard and recyclable bottles are delivered for recycling. Biowaste will be sent for processing into bio gas, compost and soil improvers. Energy waste is sent to the Lahti gas-fired power plant to be used as energy. Mixed waste is delivered to the local mixed waste sorting plant for further processing.<\/p>\n

Returnable bottles and cans<\/strong><\/p>\n– A returnable bottle is identified by the PALPA deposit mark, which also shows the deposit value.<\/p>\n
Batteries and electrical equipment<\/strong> can be returned to the competition information center.<\/p>\nEnergy gel wrappers or other wastes must not be thrown onto the ground. They should be disposed of in the drink station rubbish bins or to the rubbish bins located around the competition center.<\/strong><\/p>\nForbidden Actions<\/h3>\n
It is forbidden to advertise or sell any products or services in any part of the competition area, including accommodation areas, parking areas and competition centre, without written permission from the event organizers. Advertising other orienteering events is only allowed on an information board reserved for this purpose, which is located in the vicinity of the competition information center.<\/p>\n
It is absolutely forbidden to use radio phones operating on VHF frequencies in the competition centre area.<\/p>\n
Use of helicopter drone cameras is forbidden for security reasons. In Defense Forces areas, the use of a copter camera is always allowed only with permission to do so.<\/p>\n
There is an unconditional smoking ban in the competition centre based on the Finnish tobacco laws (Tobacco Act, Chapter 5, Section 12) except where designated. Designated smoking points on marked on the competition center map.<\/p>\n
Consumption of own alcohol is forbidden in the competitor centre. Also, taking alcohol out from the areas licensed to serve alcohol, is forbidden.<\/p>\n
The use of open fires and the use of outdoor and gas cookers, barbecues and tent stoves is strictly forbidden in the entire competition center and in all accommodation areas, inside and outside the tents, in parking lots and at non-designated campfire sites. Obeying these instructions is monitored.<\/p>\n
Camping in the wind shelter tent ground is forbidden.<\/p>\n
Setting up club signs in tall poles is forbidden close to the power lines as there is a serious danger of an electric shock!<\/p>\n
Also, taking signs in tall poles from the parking and accommodation area to the service tent area is forbidden as there are power lines and therefore a serious danger of an electric shock!<\/p>\n
In the competition center (open area), club flags cannot be placed outside the reserved areas marked on the map of the competition center. In the accommodations and in the windshield area, flags can be used. Please take care that placing of flags in the areas with TV cameras do not interfere with TV shooting.<\/p>\n
Swimming in Kastar lake is prohibited<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/strong>Did you know\u2026<\/p>\nYou can advertise orienteering events on the information board which is located near to the competition information center. If you want to advertise or sell something in the competition area (e.g. in the accommodation and parking area or in the competition centre) you have to have a written permission from the competition organizers. Sales activities are allowed only with the permission of the organizers.<\/p>\n
According to the rules of the Finnish Orienteering Federation (FOF), an orienteer is obligated to help competitor who is sick, hurt or in need of help. An orienteer is also obligated to help find a missing competitor if the competition management says so.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
PROCEDURES IN THE EVEN OF ECOUNTERING UNEXPLODED ORDINANCE<\/strong><\/p>\nThe competition will be partly staged on terrain which has, for decades, formed part of the Finnish Defense Forces training ground. The most probable areas where unexploded ordinance is likely to be has been inspected before the competition, but<\/p>\n

If any competitor detects any suspect objects on the ground:<\/p>\n
\n- DO NOT TOUCH!<\/li>\n
- MARK THE OBJECT if you can, using any available means.<\/li>\n
- NOTIFY the organizers of the exact location of the suspicious object.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
