I \u00e5r till start \u00e4r en l\u00e5ng v\u00e4g fr\u00e5n inskrivning (400\u2013900 m) och startrakan \u00e4r smal (ca. 7 m) och startleden \u00e4r l\u00e5ng (n\u00e4stan 400 m).<\/p>\n
Under dessa f\u00f6rh\u00e5llande kom in till inskrivningen i god tid. Inskrivning \u00f6ppnar 75 minuter f\u00f6re start, dvs. kl. 12.45 i Venlakavlen och 21.45 i Jukolakavlen. P\u00e5 uppv\u00e4rmningsomr\u00e5de finns v\u00e4tskepunkt samt toaletter och skuggig skog.<\/p>\n
Eftersom str\u00e4ckan till start \u00e4r l\u00e5ng och smal, i bruk \u00e4r trappad startport \u201dStart gate\u201d, som \u00e4r ligger p\u00e5 uppv\u00e4rmningsomr\u00e5dets kant samt med startlinje. I startleden de l\u00f6pare som \u00e4r bakerst styrs f\u00f6rst genom \u201dStart gate\u201d mot egen startplats 40 minuter f\u00f6re start. Starttrappor leds fr\u00e5n speakern, lyssna p\u00e5 instruktioner. I Venlakavlen kallas f\u00f6rst de lag, vars startnummer \u00e4r h\u00f6gre \u00e4n 1700 och de styrs genom \u201dStart gate\u201d mot startlinje. Efter en minut kallas lag med h\u00f6gre nummer \u00e4n 1600 och s\u00e5 vidare ny hundra lag i en minut mellanrum tills numror 1-100 har styrts mot start.<\/p>\n
