emergency<\/h3>\n<h4>Accidents and illnesses:<\/h4>\n<p>First aid is available at the first aid station in the competition centre (see section First aid)<br \/>\non Fri 14.6.2024 at 10.00 \u2013 Sunday 16.6.2024 until 16.00. Otherwise, the services of the<br \/>\ngeneral health service will be used.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a medical condition, allergies or medication that may affect your treatment,<br \/>\nplease write your name, medical condition, allergies, medication and the telephone<br \/>\nnumber of a contact person who can provide further information to the medical staff.<\/p>\n<h4>Serious medical conditions:<\/h4>\n<p>Call the emergency services on +358 50 384 3227 and follow the instructions below.<br \/>\n\u2022 Contact the emergency services and ask for help.<br \/>\n\u2022 Check the patient\u2019s breathing and circulation. Inanimate patient; start basic<br \/>\nresuscitation.<br \/>\n\u2022 If breathing and circulation are OK, check possible external injuries.<br \/>\n\u2022 Move the unconscious patient in a lateral position.<br \/>\n\u2022 Do not move the patient unnecessarily.<\/p>\n<h4>Immediate life-threatening situation \u2013 <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">call 112!<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>\u2022 Call also to emergency service number, +358 50 384 3227<br \/>\n\u2022 Arrange guidance to the location<\/p>\n<h4>Fire in a competition centre, tent area or car park:<\/h4>\n<p>In case of fire in the event centre or in the parking area: act according to the instructions<br \/>\nbelow. A doctor and first aid staff will be<br \/>\non duty at the main emergency room. The main first aid post is open Fri 14.6.2024 at<br \/>\n10:00 \u2013 Sun 16.6.2024 at 16:00. The Painting Helpdesk is open Sat 15.6.2024 12:00 \u2013<br \/>\nSun 16.6.2024 16:00.<\/p>\n<p>In the competition centre and tent areas there are first aid signs, and first aid is indicated<br \/>\non the competition centre map. The first aid point is marked with a green cross. In the<br \/>\ncompetition area there is one first aid point during the Venla relay from 13.00 to 22.30 and<br \/>\nduring the Jukola relay Sat 22.00 \u2013 Sun 16.00 two first aid posts. The first aid points on the<br \/>\nterrain are marked on the competition maps with a purple cross. In addition, there will be<br \/>\nlight first aid equipment in the refreshment points and some of the control marshals have<br \/>\nbandages.<\/p>\n<p>In the competition centre there are defibrillators at the points marked on the guide map for<br \/>\nlaymen to give CPR in case it is needed.<br \/>\nPharmacy, Kauhavan kirkonkyl\u00e4n Apteekki and Kauhavan ykk\u00f6sapteekki operates under<br \/>\nnormal hours in its normal premises in the centre of Kauhava during the race weekend.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/jukola.com\/2024\/en\/info-2\/arrival\/\">Arriving to Competition Centre See Map here<\/a><\/h4>\n<h4>Guidance to the competition centre<\/h4>\n<p>The signs will be in place on Friday 14.6.2024 at 7.00. The signs must be followed.<\/p>\n<h4>Arrival by train<\/h4>\n<p>The event organiser recommends arriving <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vr.fi\/en\">by train.\u00a0<\/a><br \/>\nThe train station is located about 5 km from the race centre. The organiser \u0301s Shuttle- bus<br \/>\nbetween the Kauhava train station and the competition centre costs 5\u20ac\/ person\/way from<br \/>\nthe train station to the competition centre. Children under 15 years free of charge.<\/p>\n<h4>Passenger cars<\/h4>\n<p>Car parking spaces are subject to a fee. You can pay for you parking with the ParkMan &#8211;<br \/>\napp. Download the ParkMan- app to your phone from the App store (linkki) or Play app<br \/>\nstore (linkki). You can also get help with charging from ParkMan support staff at the race<br \/>\ninformation desk or at the parking service point. the one-off parking fee is 20\u20ac. You can<br \/>\nalso buy a parking ticket MobilePay, card payment and cash at the competition info for<br \/>\n25\u20ac.<\/p>\n<p>The parking fee will be checked by automatic number plate cameras. If the parking fee has<br \/>\nnot been paid at the time of departure, it will be invoiced afterwards. Parking fee is 20\u20ac<br \/>\nand +10\u20ac billing supplement. By parking you accept the terms and conditions.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Be prepared for traffic congestion on your way home.<br \/>\n\u2022 Pay attention to safety, monitor your state of alertness on your way out.<br \/>\n\u2022 Do not leave valuables in the car.<br \/>\n\u2022 There are toilets at the edge of parking areas.<br \/>\n\u2022 Charging facilities for electric cars in Kauhava are limited. Take this into account on<br \/>\nyour trip.<\/p>\n<h4>Motorhomes and caravans<\/h4>\n<p>Caravans and motorhomes must reserve their place in advance via the registration<br \/>\nsystem, as indicated in the invitation to the competition. The number of places for these<br \/>\nvehicles is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The parking fee<br \/>\nof EUR 50\/100 will be paid in advance through the registration system as an online<br \/>\npayment.<br \/>\nMotor home\/ caravans will be directed to the competition centre along the same routes as<br \/>\nbuses. Instructions for more details: <a href=\"https:\/\/jukola.com\/2024\/en\/info-2\/arrival\/\">LINK<\/a><\/p>\n<p>You may only enter the parking area if you have reserved and paid for a parking space in<br \/>\nadvance in the registration system. <a href=\"https:\/\/jukola.com\/2024\/en\/accommodation\/accommodation-near-competition-center\/\">LINK<\/a><\/p>\n<p>When arriving by motor home\/caravan, follow the signs and the traffic controllers and be<br \/>\nprepared to give your name + the name of the person who has reserved the space, when<br \/>\nentering the area. <strong>Parking tickets will not be sent in advance to those who have<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>reserved a space, but you will only be admitted if your name is on the list.<\/strong><br \/>\nThe parking area for motor homes and caravans opens on Friday 14 June at 10.00 and<br \/>\ncloses on Sunday 16 June at 16.00. There are toilets in the area.<\/p>\n<p>There is no provision for emptying septic tanks in the car park. It is advisable to empty the<br \/>\ntanks before entering the Jukola. There is no electricity available in the area. All open fires,<br \/>\nbarbecues, etc. are prohibited outside the motor home or trailer. The use of awnings and<br \/>\nfront awnings is also prohibited. The minimum distance between vehicles is 4 metres and<br \/>\nwhen parking, the instructions of the parking supervisors must be strictly followed. The use<br \/>\nof aggregates in the tourist vehicle area is prohibited at night from 22:00 to 07:00.<\/p>\n<h4>Club buses<\/h4>\n<p>The club buses will be directed to the competition centre along a dedicated route reserved<br \/>\nfor bus only. Instructions for more details: <a href=\"https:\/\/jukola.com\/2024\/en\/info-2\/arrival\/\">LINK<\/a><br \/>\nTraffic controllers will supervise the waiting and unloading of the buses. These instructions<br \/>\nmust be strictly followed.<\/p>\n<p>After unloading, club buses be driven to the free parking area. The organiser will not<br \/>\nprovide transport to the campsite for unloaded goods from the club buses. The distance<br \/>\nfrom the unloading point to the camping site is between 10 \u2013 1000 metres.<br \/>\nIt should be noted that on Sunday, when leaving the campsite, the company buses can<br \/>\nonly enter the unloading and loading area with permission when the entire travel company<br \/>\nis ready to board the bus in its entirety. Traffic controllers will supervise entry. The persons<br \/>\nin charge of the buses must establish contact with their driver at the waiting area.<br \/>\nThe designated contact person for the club buses will inform the person in charge of the<br \/>\nunloading point when the entire travel company is ready to board the bus as a whole. The<br \/>\nperson in charge of the unloading point will give permission for each bus contact person to<br \/>\ncall his driver to the unloading and loading area.<br \/>\nThe instructions of the person in charge of the unloading site and the traffic controllers<br \/>\nmust be strictly followed.<\/p>\n<h4>Motorcycles<\/h4>\n<p>Motorcycles (and mopeds) have their own parking spaces on of the competition centre.<br \/>\nMotorcycle and moped parking is also subject to a fee and the parking fee is paid via the<br \/>\ndomestic ParkMan application. You can pay for parking in advance or on the spot.<br \/>\nPre-download the ParkMan app on your phone from the App store or Play app store. You<br \/>\ncan also get help with the download from ParkMan support staff at the competition info or<br \/>\nat the Parking Service Point. The parking fee is \u20ac20. You can also buy a parking ticket with<br \/>\nMobilepay, card payment and cash at the competition info or with Mobilepay and card<br \/>\npayment at the Parking Service Point.<\/p>\n<p>Parking fees will be checked on exit throughout the event. Please note that a vehicle that<br \/>\nhas not paid the parking fee on leaving will be charged retrospectively, with a parking fee<br \/>\nof \u20ac20 + \u20ac10 billing supplement. By parking you accept the terms and conditions.<\/p>\n<h4>Bicycles<\/h4>\n<p>Bicycles have their own parking space at the competition centre. Parking is free of charge.<\/p>\n<h4>Leaving the competition centre<\/h4>\n<p>Exit from the competition centre and the parking area will follow the same routes as on<br \/>\narrival, as instructed by the organisers. If necessary, traffic congestion will be regulated by<br \/>\ntraffic controllers. Parking fees are controlled electronically by cameras.<\/p>\n<h4>Taxi<\/h4>\n<p>The taxi stand is located in the competition centre next to the bus unloading area. The<br \/>\nlocation is marked on the competition map (linkki). You get into a taxi from the taxi stand.<br \/>\nYou can order a taxi from the Central Taxi switchboard on +358 100 84 999.<\/p>\n<h3>Preparing for the competition<\/h3>\n<h4>Competition info<\/h4>\n<p>The competition information desk is located in the competition centre next to the Jukola<br \/>\ngate. Team material and return maps will be distributed at the competition information<br \/>\ndesk. A collection ticket for these must be printed out in advance. A digital version is not<br \/>\nsufficient. At the information desk you can buy model navigation and training maps, plastic<br \/>\ncovers for maps, parking tickets, sauna tickets and safety pins. Payment can be made by<br \/>\nMobilePay, cash, debit or credit card.<\/p>\n<p>Please check the validity of your Emit card before arriving at the Lakia-Jukola. In the<br \/>\ncompetition centre you can check the Emit card next to the info and in front of the check-in<br \/>\ntent. You can rent an Emit card from the competition information desk to replace an<br \/>\ninoperative one. Emit cards are available for sale in Suunnistajan Kauppa.<\/p>\n<h4>Information boards and guidance<\/h4>\n<p>The information board is located near the competition info. There are also guide boards in<br \/>\nthe competition centre and in the unloading areas for the buses, which provide information<br \/>\non the activities of the competition centre. In the tent areas there will be maps and notice<br \/>\nboards showing the location of the tent pitches and the clubs\u2019 tent pitches.<\/p>\n<h4>Training<\/h4>\n<p>During the race weekend, there will be the opportunity to practice model orienteering near<br \/>\nthe competition centre. The course markings and grid layout on the model orienteering<br \/>\nmap correspond to those used in the competition. The courses will have the same code<br \/>\nlabel and flag as in the competition. The model map is 10 \u20ac\/each<br \/>\nand the training maps for the Jukola are 10 \u20ac\/each.<\/p>\n<h4>Runner bank<\/h4>\n<p>In the runner bank on the Lakia-Jukola<br \/>\nwebsite<a href=\"https:\/\/jukola.com\/2024\/en\/runner-bank\/\"> https:\/\/jukola.com\/2024\/en\/runner-bank\/<\/a> teams can search for runners for<br \/>\nmissing legs and runners without a team can indicate their wish to run in the relay.<\/p>\n<h3>Following the competition<\/h3>\n<h4>Filming<\/h4>\n<p>The start, changeover and finish can be followed and filmed in the competition centre from<br \/>\nareas reserved for the public. GPS tracking devices will be used to monitor<br \/>\nthe progress of the top teams.<\/p>\n<p>There is an air traffic restriction in the area, so no flying drones will be allowed, except for<br \/>\nTV production.<\/p>\n<h4>TV and radio<\/h4>\n<p>The Jukola organiser and Kepit Systems Oy will provide television coverage on the<br \/>\ncompetition centre screens. Yle will broadcast both the Venla and the Jukola relay on TV.<br \/>\nThe broadcast will be available on Yle channels and on Yle Areena.<\/p>\n<p>Yle radio Suomi will follow the event throughout the night.<\/p>\n<p>The English-language Jukola Live coverage of the Lakia-Jukola can be watched on IOF<br \/>\nTV: https:\/\/tv.orienteering.sport\/. Both relays on Jukola Live cost a total of \u20ac25.<\/p>\n<h4>Forest Church<\/h4>\n<p>There is a Forest Church in the area of the Jukola competition centre. Forest Church is<br \/>\nopen for silence, prayer, peace and quiet or even for discussion. There will be a<br \/>\ncommunion service in the Forest Church on Saturday 15 at 21.00, which takes about an<br \/>\nhour. The patron of the competition, Bishop Matti Salom\u00e4ki of Lapua, will preach at the<br \/>\ncommunion service.<\/p>\n<h4>Children\u2019s World<\/h4>\n<p>The Children\u2019s World is located in the competition centre (see map). There will be a variety<br \/>\nof activities, such as the Powerpark bounchy castle and The Finnish Orienteering<br \/>\nFederation Rastiralli.<\/p>\n<p>NOTE! There is no supervised childcare at the Children\u2019s World. Children are under the<br \/>\nresponsibility of their parents.<\/p>\n<h4>VIP guests and media<\/h4>\n<p>The VIP guests will be met in the VIP information point which is located in the VIP area.<br \/>\nAccredited media will be received at the media information desk in the media centre,<br \/>\nlocated near the festivities stage.<\/p>\n<h3>Dogs<\/h3>\n<p>Dogs must be kept on a lead. We recommend that dogs are not brought into the competition area for their own safety.<\/p>\n<h4>Food and drink<\/h4>\n<p>In addition to the main restaurant and caf\u00e9, Lakia- Jukola\u2019s competitors and spectators will<br \/>\nbe served in the Street Food area. There is also an ice-cream and Licorice shop in the<br \/>\ncompetition centre. In the Defence Forces\u2019 demonstration area there will be a caf\u00e9. The<br \/>\nopening hours of the restaurants and caf\u00e9s can be found under Opening hours.<br \/>\nThe main competition restaurant serves delicious dishes. We recommend buying your<br \/>\nfood online in advance to reduce congestion. (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coregoshop.fi\/lakia-jukola2024\/\">Click here to online shop<\/a>). You can<br \/>\nalso find the online shop in the Jukola app. You can also buy your food on the spot via the<br \/>\nonline shop, by payment card or MobilePay. You can buy your meal ticket in cash at a<br \/>\nticket office. After paying you will receive a QR code which, when show to the ticket<br \/>\nreader, will allow you to dine.<br \/>\nServings include bread, spread, water &amp; salad.<\/p>\n<p>The main competition restaurant has a caf\u00e9 serving coffee, tea, buns, juice and<br \/>\nsoft drinks.<\/p>\n<p>Almost all foods will be available lactose-free. Dairy-free and gluten-free options are also<br \/>\navailable. The staff can give information about product ingredients, and they can also be<br \/>\nfound on site and on the website for more details.<br \/>\nOn Fridays, restaurants have a limited choice. On Friday, only some restaurants will be<br \/>\nopen. From Saturday onwards, all restaurants will be open, some lines may be closed at<br \/>\noff-peak times.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please prefer to pay by card, MobilePay and online shop!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The busiest times in the restaurants are around relay starts, at breakfast time (from 04-05)<br \/>\nand after the Venla relay finish. During these times you should be prepared for queues.<br \/>\nThere are plenty of food restaurants in the area to ensure that the food service runs as<br \/>\nsmoothly as possible. There are a few tables and bench seatings near the restaurant for<br \/>\ndiners who need a place to sit down (e.g., families with children).<br \/>\nThe restaurants use biodegradable disposable containers, which are sorted into bio-waste.<br \/>\nPlease act responsibly and put your rubbish in the rubbish collection points. We don\u2019t litter<br \/>\nat the Lakia-Jukola! Thank you in advance!<\/p>\n<h4>Drinking water<\/h4>\n<p>There are designated drinking water stations marked on the map at the competition<br \/>\ncenter and accommodation areas. Drinking water stations can be found at the start and<br \/>\nexchange area as well as near the finish line. It is prohibited to wash equipment at the<br \/>\ndrinking water stations. Equipment washing is only allowed at the designated area next to<br \/>\nthe equipment washing facility.<\/p>\n<h4>Accommodation<\/h4>\n<p>The event centre is open to tents and camper cars \/ caravans from Friday June 14th from<br \/>\n10.00. Take care of your valuables! The use of open fire, grills, camping and gas cookers<br \/>\netc. is strictly forbidden. Smoking is prohibited except in designated smoking areas that<br \/>\nare marked on the guide map.<\/p>\n<h4>Camping areas<\/h4>\n<p>Camping in tents takes place in pre-reserved, numbered tent pitches. The camping areas<br \/>\nare located about 1000-1500 metres from the competition centre. The tent places are 10 x<br \/>\n10 metres in size and they are numbered in the field. The reserved tent places are shown<br \/>\non the Lakia-Jukola website as well as on information boards located at the camping area<br \/>\nand at the competition info.<\/p>\n<h4>Tents Set Up by Organiser (Rented Tents)<\/h4>\n<p>The pre-reserved rented tents set up by the organiser are located about 100- 1000 metres.<br \/>\nfrom the competition centre (M\u00e4ntyl\u00e4). Tents are numbered with signs next to the tents.<br \/>\nThe tent places and numbers can be seen on the Lakia-Jukola website and on information<br \/>\nboards located at the camping area and at the competition info. The tents are not heated.<br \/>\nFurther information from the competition info.<\/p>\n<h4>Wind Shelters<\/h4>\n<p>The teams\u2019 wind shelters can be set up in pre-reserved places shown by the organisers.<br \/>\nPathways must be left free. Other tents and the use of open fire, gas grills, camping and<br \/>\ngas cookers etc. is strictly forbidden in the wind shelter areas.<br \/>\nWind shelters can be brought to the area on Wednesday, June 12, between 10:00 and<br \/>\n21:00, and on Thursday, June 13, between 10:00 and 21:00. During this time, you can<br \/>\nleave your car at the bus unloading area while unloading the tent.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday 16th June 2024 dismantled tents from the windshelter area can be picked up<br \/>\nby car from the bus turnaround between 10:00-13:30 and 14:30-18:00. Please drive slowly<br \/>\nenough and follow the organisers instructions.<\/p>\n<p>During pick-up, cars cannot be left in the parking lot even for a short time. Items to be<br \/>\npicked must be ready for pick-up nearby the bus turnaround spot. The goods must be<br \/>\nquickly loaded into the car and the cars are immediately driven away from the area.<\/p>\n<h3>Other Services:<\/h3>\n<h4>Battery Charging<\/h4>\n<p>The competition info offers a limited amount of mobile phone charging points. Take your<br \/>\nown charger with you.<\/p>\n<h4>Storage of valuables<\/h4>\n<p>There is no organised locked storage for valuables. Please take care of your valuables.<br \/>\nThe organisation of Jukola is not responsible for damaged, lost, or stolen personal<br \/>\nproperty.<\/p>\n<h4>Use of Internet and mobile phones<\/h4>\n<p>As in all bigger events, the mobile networks\u2019 capacity is limited. The goal is to use<br \/>\nmobile devices without consuming too much of this limited capacity, so that for example<br \/>\nthe GPS-tracking of the competition works properly. Use of normal websites, such as the<br \/>\nonline result service is not a problem. Due to high loads on the internet network, it is<br \/>\nnot recommended to watch videos or television broadcasts or download video<br \/>\nstreams. Please do not create or download video streams in the event centre (Youtube,<br \/>\nFacebook, Instagram etc.), as this causes a high load on the network and endangers<br \/>\nGPS-tracking.<\/p>\n<h4>Jukola Shop<\/h4>\n<p>The Jukola shop offers official Jukola products. Some special limited items can be found in<br \/>\nthe store. Noname is the partner in charge of organising the Jukola shop.<\/p>\n<h4>Jukola App<\/h4>\n<p>You can download the Jukola app to your mobile device from the Play Store or the App<br \/>\nStore.<\/p>\n<h4>Competition maps<\/h4>\n<p>Competition maps with all controls are sold at the information centre from Sunday June<br \/>\n16th 10:00 a.m. at a price of 10\u20ac\/ map.<\/p>\n<h4>Lost and Found<\/h4>\n<p>Items found during the event weekend can be handed in to the competition info.<br \/>\nMissing items can be looked for in the info until Sunday at 4 pm after which the lost items<br \/>\nwill be delivered to the Jukola office where they will be stored for a week. After a week the<br \/>\nmore valuable items will be delivered to the Lapua police station.<\/p>\n<h4>Instruction board<\/h4>\n<p>The main instruction board is located in front of the competition info.<\/p>\n<h4>Payment Methods<\/h4>\n<p>In the restaurants, Jukola Shop, and competition info desk, payment can be done in cash<br \/>\nor with most common bank and credit cards (e.g., Visa, MasterCard) or MobilePay.<br \/>\nContactless payment is also accepted. The largest banknote accepted at Jukola sales and<br \/>\nservice points is 20 euros. Only the competition info accepts 50 \u20ac banknotes.<br \/>\nPrivate businesses in the area accept different forms of payment at their own<br \/>\ndiscretion. There is no currency exchange or cash withdrawal possibility at the competition<br \/>\ncentre.<\/p>\n<p>Several cash ATMs can be found in Kauhava.<br \/>\n\u2022 Kauhava ABC<br \/>\n\u2022 K-Supermarket Kauhava<\/p>\n<h4>Showers<\/h4>\n<p>The washing area is located in the competition centre. In addition to the showers, the washing area has tented saunas. A separate washing facility is reserved for women during the relay.<\/p>\n<p>The sauna and washing facilities will not be available on Friday. Washing up on Friday will take place approximately 2.2 km from the Jukola gate. <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/fUVkeHGMpKF3A35p8\">Location of the Friday washing facilities<\/a><\/p>\n<p>On Saturday the showers will open at 09.00. All saunas are warm from 14.00 on Saturday until 16.00 on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>During the Jukola relay there will be a separate smaller sauna for women from 23.00 on Saturday. On Saturday from 14.00 to 22.00 the smaller sauna is for men. Signposts to the correct sauna and washroom facilities are at the doors of the washroom. The sauna fee is \u20ac5, payable on site by cash, MobilePay or most major payment cards. A sauna ticket can also be purchased at the competition information desk. The sauna fee includes the peflet.<\/p>\n<p>The use of your own detergents is strictly forbidden! Biodegradable detergents will be provided by the race organiser.<\/p>\n<p>There are separate collection bins for returnable bottles and cans in the washing area.<\/p>\n<p>Please do not leave your belongings in the changing rooms.<\/p>\n<h4>Campfires<\/h4>\n<p>The use of open fire and the use of any outdoor and gas cookers, barbeques, and<br \/>\ntent heaters is strictly forbidden in the entire event centre and in all accommodation areas,<br \/>\ninside and outside the tents and in parking areas. Fire ban will be supervised.<\/p>\n<h4>Photography<\/h4>\n<p>Photography in the event area is permitted. Pictures and video material of competitors<br \/>\nwill be taken by the organiser and by private photographers during the event. By<br \/>\nparticipating in this event, you agree that the organiser of the event may use the pictures<br \/>\ntaken at the event for their own purposes.<\/p>\n<p>Private photographers must obey the instructions of the organiser (concerning<br \/>\nforbidden areas e.g.) and the common rules of photographing the competitors.<\/p>\n<h4>Cleaning of equipment<\/h4>\n<p>There is a separate equipment washing point close to the showers and sauna. Washing<br \/>\nof sports gear elsewhere is forbidden.<\/p>\n<h4>Toilets<\/h4>\n<p>The toilets in the competition centre are marked on the competition centre map. All the<br \/>\ntoilets have hand disinfection liquid available. Waste items such as diapers or plastic<br \/>\nwrappings must be put into the correct rubbish bins, not in the toilet. Please make sure you<br \/>\ntake care of good hand hygiene!<\/p>\n<h4>Environment<\/h4>\n<p>Jukola is an environmentally friendly event. The event organisation follows the guidelines<br \/>\nof the Ekokompassi certification awarded to Joensuu-Jukola in 2017. Ekokompassi is an<br \/>\nenvironmental system designed for events and small businesses.<br \/>\nIt is important not to litter the environment, and every competitor and spectator is expected<br \/>\nto sort their waste. We kindly ask all participants to pay special attention to proper waste<br \/>\nsorting.<br \/>\nAt Lakia-Jukola, waste is sorted and sent for recycling according to local sorting<br \/>\nguidelines after the competition. There are several waste sorting stations available at the<br \/>\ncompetition centre.<\/p>\n<h3>Sorting waste at the event centre<\/h3>\n<h4>Cartons<\/h4>\n<p>\u2022 cardboard containers, such as milk and juice cartons<br \/>\n\u2022 cardboard food packages such as biscuit packets.<br \/>\n\u2022 paper bags<br \/>\n\u2022 toilet rolls and kitchen paper rolls<br \/>\n\u2022 corrugated cardboard packaging<br \/>\n\u2022 multi-packaging cartons of beverages<\/p>\n<h4>Paper<\/h4>\n<p>\u2022 all kind of paper excluding paper bags<br \/>\nBiowaste<br \/>\n\u2022 foodstuffs and paper napkins<\/p>\n<h4>Plastic<\/h4>\n<p>\u2022 food plastics, e.g. cans, bags, boxes, wraps and tray<br \/>\n\u2022 Non-returnable plastic bottles<\/p>\n<h4>Mixed waste<\/h4>\n<p>\u2022 slightly soiled cardboard and paper packaging and textiles<br \/>\n\u2022 used disposable containers, including cartons<br \/>\n\u2022 contaminated carton packaging, e.g. pizza boxes, ice-cream cases<br \/>\n\u2022 textiles such as clothing<br \/>\n\u2022 energy gel wrappers<br \/>\n\u2022 coffee and crisp bags<br \/>\n\u2022 empty medicinal products, and other containers containing aluminium which are<br \/>\nnot suitable for metals recycling.<br \/>\n\u2022 diapers, and other used hygiene products<br \/>\n\u2022 shoes and other articles of rubber, leather and imitation leather<br \/>\n\u2022 PVC plastics, 03-labelled and other unidentified plastic products<\/p>\n<h4>Metal and glass<\/h4>\n<p>\u2022 Separate containers for metal and glass<br \/>\nReturnable bottles and cans<br \/>\n\u2022 separate containers located close to the food and drink services and in<br \/>\nthe shower\/sauna area.<br \/>\n\u2022 A returnable bottle is identified by the PALPA deposit mark, which also shows<br \/>\nthe deposit value.<\/p>\n<p>Batteries and electrical equipment can be returned to the competition info.<br \/>\nEnergy gel wrappers or other wastes should be put in rubbish bins in drink<br \/>\nstations or to the rubbish bins located around the competition centre. Please do not<br \/>\nlitter!<\/p>\n<h4>Forbidden Actions<\/h4>\n<p>It is forbidden to advertise or sell any products or services in any part of the event<br \/>\narea, including accommodation areas, parking areas and the competition centre, without<br \/>\nwritten permission by the event organiser. Advertising other orienteering events is only<br \/>\nallowed on the information board reserved for this purpose. The board is located next to<br \/>\nthe result board. It is not allowed to deliver advertisements onto the car windshields.<br \/>\nIt is absolutely forbidden to use radio phones operating on VHF frequencies in the<br \/>\ncompetition centre area (excluding the organisation staff).<br \/>\nUse of helicopter drone cameras is forbidden for security reasons. There is a restriction<br \/>\nfor aerial traffic in the event area (the restriction excludes the TV-production).<br \/>\nThere is an unconditional smoking ban in the competition centre based on the Finnish<br \/>\ntobacco laws except for a designated smoking point. The smoking point is located close to<br \/>\nthe beer tent and is marked on the area map.<br \/>\nConsumption of one\u2019s own alcohol drinks is forbidden in the competition centre. Drinking<br \/>\nof alcoholic beverages is only allowed in the beer tent area.<br \/>\nThe use of open fire and the use of any outdoor and gas cookers, barbeques and<br \/>\ntent heaters is strictly forbidden in the entire event centre and in all accommodation areas,<br \/>\ninside and outside the tents and in parking areas. Fire ban will be supervised.<br \/>\nCamping in the wind shelter area is forbidden.<\/p>\n<p>Club flags cannot be placed in the competition centre (open area). In the accommodation<br \/>\narea and in the wind shelter area flags can be used. Please take care that placing of flags<br \/>\nin the areas with TV cameras does not interfere with TV. The flags that disturb TV<br \/>\ncoverage will be removed.<\/p>\n<h4>Did you know that&#8230;<\/h4>\n<p>You can advertise orienteering events on the information board which is located next to<br \/>\nthe result board.
