The partner for the first leg of the 2026 Youth Jukola is Motonet, a department store for motorists. Motonet is part of the Broman Group, and as a Finnish family-owned company, its identity is built on a strong commitment to being part of society, developing its operations with a long-term perspective, and creating jobs in Finland. Motonet also aims to inspire people to lead active and healthy lifestyles by supporting various organizations, initiatives, and partnerships.<\/p>\n

Our partner for the second leg at Youth Jukola is MHY North Karelia. In Finland, private forest owners own more than 60 percent of the forests, forming a diverse and interesting forest mosaic that provides an excellent environment for orienteers.<\/p>\n
\u201cMany forest professionals and forestry students have a background in orienteering. Even working in forests requires orienteering skills. Above all, orienteers and forest professionals share a very similar mindset and a respectful attitude toward forest nature<\/em>\u201d, says Harri V\u00e4lim\u00e4ki, Director of the Forest Management Association of North Karelia.<\/p>\n \u201cWe want to support Youth Jukola, as young people are the future, and many of the participants will be future forest owners\u2014and quite a few will likely become forestry professionals as well\u201d,<\/em> V\u00e4lim\u00e4ki continues.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n On the third leg \u2014 the only non-forked leg in the Youth Jukola \u2014 our leg partner is Kaivospuu Oy. Kaivospuu Oy is a local wood processing company, whose sawmill is located in Hammaslahti, Joensuu. Kaivospuu uses pine and spruce as raw materials, sourced from North Karelia. Forests and their diverse, sustainable use are important to the company. The ability to move in the forest and choose the right routes is also part of professional expertise in the field.<\/p>\n \u201cWe want to support sports that encourage people to be active in nature.
