Moa Leijon-Lind speeded in front of the spectators to the first run through in Jukola history.
Leijon-Lind representing the Södertälje Nykvarn OK club arrived at the running track in front of the following team Alfta ÖSA OK and Halden.After them to the fenced track and onto the overpassing bridge there were almost 1,400 Venla runners speeding for the second leg.
Half of the legs pass the audience stand
About half of the legs in Venla and Jukola relays pass by the spectator area via a running track. This means that over 8,000 orienteers will pass in front of the audience in the middle of their leg.
-For the first time Jukola audience can follow the event on the same spot via a video screen, public control point, run through track and the home stretch and also enjoy the qualified restaurant services at the same time, boasted Competition Manager Juha Heimala beforehand.
