The training maps for the Nuorten Jukola relay are now for sale. There are two different terrains both having five tracks with varying length and level of difficulty. In some areas the type of the terrain is quite near to the one used in the relay itself. The prize for the training maps is 5 e/map.
The locations of the training terrains you can see here.
You can ask and reserve the training maps from the Nuorten Jukola office: makinen.jorma(a)dnainternet.net.
If you need accomodation during a training camp, please see the alternatives here.
On the competition day and the day before there is a model orienteering track near to the competition center. More info later.
Two weeks before the Nuorten Jukola relay an individual national competition called Kankaanpää-rastit will be held not far from the competition area. That competition is a good event for those, who would like to get to know the type of the terrain and the map-drawers style. See more here – at the moment only in Finnish, sorry.
Don’t forget, that open orienteering events (Kankaanpään kuntosuunnistukset) are held weekly in the Kankaanpää region. Information can be found on the web-pages of the organizing club – only in Finnish, sorry.
