Safety belongs to everyone!

Mikkeli-Jukola will be held around the factory. In order to organize a successful and safe Jukola, it is of paramount importance that everyone takes the following things into account and especially that the children are well taken care of.

The competition centre is located in the factory area. Movement outside the marked zone is strictly prohibited.

There are many different piles of gravel and crushed stone near the competition centre. Climbing them is strictly prohibited. Especially the smaller and most enthusiastic members of the audience should be looked after even more closely than usual, so that the piles are not conquered.

The rocks and rock ledges on the southern edge of the competition centre are also prohibited to climb. The rock edges are unfenced and partly loose. The area is part of the competition area, and those who go there will be disqualified.

The beautiful concrete bridge of Suutarinen Yhtiöt, which crosses the changeover/finish line, is a passageway to media facilities and the VIP guests. Others are prohibited from entering.

Tikkalantie, which leads to the competition centre, is a two-way street. It can be used by pedestrians, by bicycle and by service vehicles. It is very important for everyone moving in the area to follow the instructions and speed limits of traffic controllers. Pedestrians and cyclists must use their own lanes.

If you see a situation that threatens safety in the competition area or on the road leading to it, contact the nearest security steward/traffic controller or call the Safety Centre, tel. +358 415 782 966. Do not endanger yourself or others.

Competitors should note that the distance from the change punch to the maps is very short, and otherwise the markings are exceptionally short this time.

By following the common rules, we create an exceptionally fine and different competition centre, and especially excellent and demanding orienteering terrain. We wish everyone an atmospheric and safe Jukola weekend!
