Safety and First Aid

Safety is a Common Cause

At Jukola, everyone is responsible for ensuring safety and helping in emergencies. It is every one’s duty to follow all the rules and instructions carefully.

Each team participating in the competition is obliged to provide basic first aid supplies: wound cleanser, plasters, blister plasters, gauze roll, basic painkillers, antihistamine.

Accidents and acute illnesses
The Competition Centre’s first aid is open Fri 13.6.2025 at 10:00 – Sun 15.6. at 16:00 (see section First aid ). Otherwise, the services of the general health service are used: the emergency room of Mikkeli Central Hospital (Porrassalmenkatu 35-37). Call the emergency service before going to the emergency service: 116117.

The main first aid service is prepared for acute injuries and illnesses of competitors, spectators and officials.

If you have any illnesses, allergies or medication that may affect your treatment, please write your name, allergy, medication and the telephone number of a contact person who can provide further information to the medical staff if necessary.

If you receive any cuts and/or bruises during the race, please clean them with plenty of water before going to the first aid station and check that your team’s first aid kit is sufficient to treat the wound.
