Jukola 2012 is organized in Vantaa, at a central location in Helsinki metropolitan area. The competition center is built at Hakunila sports park which has served as a location for many sports events. Valio-Jukola is easy to reach by train, bus, ferry, car or airplane. Distance to Tikkurila train station is only seven kilometers, to Helsinki-Vantaa airport 12 kilometers and to the nearest port approximately 20 kilometers. Proximity of major highways enables easy access from other parts of Finland.

Competition center is also easily reachable by public transport. Many buses drive to Hakunila from Helsinki center and other locations. More information about local public transport can be found at www.hsl.fi/EN and www.reittiopas.fi/en/.

Terrain

Although the competition center of Valio-Jukola is in close vicinity of population centers,  orienteering is not less demanding than in sparsely populated areas. Demanding terrains of Sotunki and Sipoonkorpi offer great orienteering experiences and the cources designed by experienced designers make sure that the upcoming orienteering competition will be challenging.
