Training Ban
The official training ban area is indicated in the Map Register.
Terrain
The competition terrain consists of fast pine heathland rich in trails. The area’s history as the former training ground of the disbanded North Karelia Brigade is also visible in the landscape. Most of the terrain is relatively flat, but the shoreline embankment of Lake Höytiäinen provides suitable elevation for the courses.
