National Compass-event, Junior League final and national middle-distance race
Compass-event
M/W10RR and M/W12 interval starts. M/W14 mass start.
Junior League
M/W16 and M/W18 chase starts. The Junior League final is contested as a chase start, with the starting order based on the Junior League standings. GPS tracking will be used in the final. The list of competitors to be tracked will be published in advance on the event’s website.
National Middle Distance
Classes: M/W21, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, M/W12TR, interval starts.
Terrain
The competition area is generally easy to move through. There are plenty of paths and tracks, as well as guiding features suitable for children’s and youth courses, throughout all parts of the terrain.
Map
Orienteering maps, scale 1:10 000, H/D45 and older 1:7 500, contour interval 5 m, digitally printed. Map size A4. Maps are protected by a plastic cover. The map maker is Jussi Silvennoinen; the map was completed in 2025 and updated in 2026. The previous map of the area is available on the Youth Jukola website.
Registration
Registrations must be received no later than Sunday, 16 August 2026, at 23:59 via the Rastilippu service: www.rastilippu.fi
Registrations will be visible on the event website after the registration period ends. No late registrations will be accepted.
Courses
Official middle distance.
Start times
Start lists will be available on the event website on Friday, 21 August 2026.
Entry Fees
M/W 10–12 13 €, M/W 14 17 €, M/W 16–18 19 € and other classes 23 €. Entry fees must be paid at the same time as registration via the Rastilippu service.
Punching System
EMIT punching will be used in all categories. The EMIT card number must be provided at the time of registration. If no number is given, the organizer will provide a rental card at a cost of €5 per card.
Starts
The first starts will begin at 10:00.
For the Compass categories (M/W10–12) and the national categories, the start is 250 m from the competition center. The Gold Compass category (M/W14) will have a mass start, and the Junior League final (M/W16–18) will be a chase start from the competition center.
Arrival
The competition center is located at the Kontiolahti Biathlon Stadium, Napakympintie 24, 81100 Kontiolahti. Detailed instructions for arrival and guidance will be published on the Youth Jukola website.
Parking
Parking is 100–600 m from the competition center. The parking fee is €5 for cars and €20 for motorhomes, payable at the competition information desk. Bus parking is free, but advance notice of arrival is requested.
Competition Center
The competition center is the Kontiolahti Biathlon Stadium and its surroundings, which consist mostly of hard-packed sand and asphalt surfaces. Changing and washing facilities are available at the competition center.
Catering
The competition center has a restaurant, café, and grill. A meal costs €13 if purchased on-site and €11 if ordered in advance. Advance orders can be made through the order link on the event website from July 1, 2026, until August 9, 2026, at the latest.
Training
Training sessions preparing for the Youth Jukola and Sunday’s individual competitions, as well as other exercises, can be organized in the Lykynlampi and Jaamankangas areas. Maps will be available in the beginning of June 2026.
