Pre-Jukola 2026
Welcome to compete on June 27, 2026 in Pre-Jukola in Vuokatti as part of the Relay League.
Pre-Jukola will be orienteering in the Rönkkö area of Vuokatti. Orienteers will be challenged by the differences in altitude and the slope controls. The competition area gives a good feel for the Vuokatti-Jukola 2027 competition terrain. The terrain of Pre-Jukola is mainly a continuous forest area, and there is only one forest road and a UKK hiking trail on the map.
The day after Pre-Jukola, the Kainuu Orienteering Week will begin in Suomussalmi, Säynäjä, where orienteers will be able to conquer the new competition area for the first time.

Open Class
The competition will be organized as an open class. You can also participate in the open class without a license. The distances are approximately 5 and 3 kilometers. The scale of the longer course is 1:10 000 and the shorter course is 1:7 500.
Orientators will enter the terrain after the starts of the HD16 and D21 series. You can register for open class in advance at Rastilippu or at the competition center at the same price €10.
Arrival at Pre-Jukola
Navigate to Rekivaarantie 27.
From Sotkamo you can arrive at the location via Nurmestie (899) -> Juurikkavaara -> national road 6 towards Kajaani (Vesikkotie). So please do not take a shortcut using Rekivaarantie!
From Kajaani you can arrive via national road 6 towards Joensuu until you turn onto Rekivaarantie.
The guidance starts from Vesikkotie, national road 6, at the Rekivaarantie intersection. The navigation address for the start of the guidance is Rekivaarantie 40, Sotkamo. The driving time to the parking lot is 0–5 minutes. The signs will be in place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 1 p.m.
Return traffic will be diverted from Rekivaarantie to Nurmestie 889.
Eventilla parking system
The Pre-Jukola parking lot uses the Eventilla reservation system, where you can reserve free parking before the event.
The driver of the vehicle enters their email address and vehicle registration number into the Eventilla-system. The driver receives a QR code in the confirmation email, which the event traffic controller reads on their phone.
If you do not reserve a parking space in advance through Eventilla, parking costs 10 euros, and you can pay it at the competition information desk. Cash, card payments and mobilepay are accepted at the competition information desk. The paid parking fee must be presented when leaving the parking lot.

Event center
Café products are for sale at the competition center. Cash, bank cards and MobilePay are accepted as payment methods.
However, please note that there may be problems with the use of payment methods due to the limited mobile network, so it is also worth bringing cash with you. There is no separate water point at the competition center.
