OP Kainuu will participate in Vuokatti‑Jukola 2027 as a key partner. The cooperation agreement also includes a 90‑hour volunteer contribution provided by OP Kainuu, making the partnership particularly meaningful for the event organisers.
Organising a major orienteering event requires months of preparation as well as a large number of people during the competition weekend. For OP Kainuu, it is important to be involved in initiatives that strengthen vitality and community spirit in Kainuu, says acting CEO Maarit Korpinen.
– Many of our employees have taken part in various event volunteer tasks over the years, and now the 90‑hour volunteer contribution offers an opportunity to participate in this exceptionally large event in the context of Kainuu, Korpinen says.
For Vuokatti Sport, the key partnership with OP Kainuu reflects the strong local spirit in Kainuu, and OP Kainuu’s commitment to volunteer work is a concrete and valuable part of the cooperation.
Vuokatti‑Jukola aims to be an event for all of Kainuu, says Vuokatti Sport CEO Kosti Puurunen.
– An event of this scale cannot be created alone. We need companies, organisations and above all a large number of volunteers. That is why OP Kainuu’s decision to join both as a partner and through concrete volunteer work is especially important to us, Puurunen notes.
Vuokatti‑Jukola 2027 will be held in Vuokatti, Sotkamo on 19–20 June 2027. Registration for the event is open on our website.
