Vuokatti Sport and Osuuskauppa Maakunta have signed a broad partnership agreement to support the delivery of Vuokatti‑Jukola. Osuuskauppa Maakunta will join the event as a leg partner.
Preparations for Vuokatti‑Jukola are progressing step by step toward summer 2027, and the organisers – Sotkamon Jymy and Vuokatti Sport – are actively building new partnerships and cooperation opportunities with companies and organisations across the region.
For Osuuskauppa Maakunta, it is important to help create events that strengthen the vitality and success of the local area, says CEO Hannu Pelkonen.
– When municipalities, companies, sports clubs, volunteers and other actors combine their strengths, we can build an event that leaves a positive impression on tens of thousands of visitors and reaches audiences across Finland and the world, Pelkonen says.
Vuokatti Sport CEO Kosti Puurunen also sees Vuokatti‑Jukola as a significant opportunity to showcase Kainuu’s expertise and hospitality to Jukola visitors. This will be highlighted through the programme built around the competition, encouraging visitors to explore the region more broadly and stay longer in Kainuu.
– We want to build an event that benefits local companies and organisations as widely as possible, Puurunen says.
