Lahti-Hollola Jukola’s relay has been officially opened and Jukola flag has been raised to the flagstaff to celebrate warm competition weekend.
Before actual opening the atmosphere was raised by Venla’s PreParty-show in the ceremony stage. Ceremony stage hosts Sirpa Korkatti and Hannu Siljander led the audience in the PreParty’s eventful show. Before official opening performed Country Heels and Toes -group and Nonstop -dancing group and also Circus Sirius.
Official opening started when Hollola’s scouts raised Jukola flag and Finnish flag to wave against the blue sky. After that Päijät-Häme county song “Green ridge country” was performed by Erkki Kortenniemi and Tuisku Marttinen. Also LCS Panthers skillful cheerleader performance was seen on the stage.
Lahti-Hollola Jukola relay’s competition leader Jorma Aherto said thank you to ground owners from the great reception. He welcomed competitors, audience, volunteers to Jukola’s relay organized by Lahden suunnistajat -37 and Hollolan urheilijat -46. County leader Päivi Rahkonen told greetings from Hollola county and welcomed all to Jukola relay in the official opening ceremony.
– The feeling, will and action are related to lifestyle and soul scenery with depressions and Salpausselkä ridges in Hollola. Also success demands will and action and that is all I want to wish to everyone, said Rahkonen.
Minister of Education brought greetings from the country and the competition was blessed by field bishop Pekka Särkiö.

Competition host Sami Jauhojärvi wished that orienteers would find from control to control as straight as possible that near living Sami Jauhojärvi’s blueberry places wouldn’t be trampled.
At the end of the ceremony Hollola’s men choir was singing “wreath to the Finland” and “My darling’s eyes”.
