Kotka-based family company has supported Kotka-Jukola from the very beginning

The Kotka-based family company Juhani Haavisto Oy has supported Kotka-Jukola since its very first steps. The company was the event’s first corporate partner, and the cooperation began already in February 2021 when CEO Jarkko Haavisto signed the agreement with Kotka-Jukola’s competition director Ari Kukkonen.

The event office became a key base for the organization

The agreement was not merely symbolic support. Juhani Haavisto Oy provided the organizers with an event office that became a central hub for planning and organizing the event. The premises have been important for smooth preparations: they have enabled joint meetings and the secure storage of materials and documents.

A natural decision to join

According to Jarkko Haavisto, the decision to participate felt natural, and it has been a pleasure to follow Kotka-Jukola’s journey for five years already. Supporting a major local event was seen within the company as an important part of responsible and community-oriented activity. – We wanted to help make something meaningful possible for Kotka and the entire region. Jukola brings enormous vitality and visibility to the area, Haavisto says.

Important cooperation also for the organizers

The cooperation has also been considered important on the Kotka-Jukola side. According to competition director Ari Kukkonen, the role of the event office was important when the event preparations began, especially for meetings and managing materials. In addition, the location of the premises has been very good for us. The cooperation has worked excellently, and we also want to highlight the strong involvement of companies in the event and the entrepreneurial spirit of the entire region.

An example of the power of local cooperation

The cooperation between Juhani Haavisto Oy and Kotka-Jukola is an example of how local companies and event organizers can together build something that benefits the entire region.
