Power Coast helping build the Kotka-Jukola 2026 story – a partnership growing from the region’s future

Kotka-Jukola 2026 brings together orienteers, communities and businesses, while also serving as a stage for new regional stories. One of these is the partnership between Kotka-Jukola and Power Coast, managed by Cursor. Power Coast aims to demonstrate the strength that emerges when industry, people and communities are united by a shared direction: forward.

We wanted to hear from Power Coast what the Kotka-Jukola partnership means from their perspective.

Why did Cursor’s Power Coast want to become a partner of Kotka-Jukola?

“For us, Kotka-Jukola is more than an event. It is a meeting place where the region and its people can be seen at their very best. At Power Coast, we represent a growing, strongly industry-based region where the future is built on cooperation, investments and a good everyday life. We joined because we want to help create something meaningful, while also sharing the opportunities this region offers for work, entrepreneurship and life.”

The partnership is about much more than logo visibility – it reflects shared values: the courage to act and confidence in the future of the Kotka–Hamina region.

What does Power Coast want to highlight during the event and around it?

“Jukola gives us a great opportunity to show how much development is happening in the region right now. In the Kotka–Hamina area, new industry is emerging, new jobs are being created and new stories are taking shape – stories we at Power Coast truly believe in. We have a strong ambition to make this region an even better place to operate, grow and succeed together with companies, people and communities.”

Kotka-Jukola serves as a showcase through which visitors can see that more is happening here than perhaps ever before – in industrial investments, employment and everyday services.

What do Kotka and Hamina mean to you as cities and as a community?

“Kotka and Hamina are cities where industry has always been part of everyday life and identity. Places where work has been done for decades and where something new is now emerging – both in factories and in communities. To us, they are examples of how strong history and community spirit form the foundation for new growth, hope and action.”

Industrial heritage and future investments go hand in hand. The cities are building a story where the past does not slow development, but supports it.

How do you see Jukola’s message as part of Power Coast’s work to enhance regional attractiveness?

“Jukola is a strong demonstration of our ability to organize, collaborate and deliver together. Such an event not only brings visibility but also reminds us of the opportunities the region offers for companies, talent and new initiatives. At Power Coast, we see Jukola as an important part of attractiveness work, built on action and trust that something truly significant is happening here.”

Kotka-Jukola is a living example of the region’s capability – the same capability that supports new investments and international cooperation.

What greetings would you like to send to future visitors and orienteers?

“A warm welcome to experience Jukola and this wonderful region. We hope you will find not only great courses and landscapes, but also a welcoming atmosphere and people who are easy to connect with. This region is full of stories and a strong spirit of doing. Perhaps you will find something that makes you want to return.”
